Hope For Dogs Rescue, is a charitable, non-profit 501(c) (3) organization founded in 2019 to focus on the rescue of dogs who, after an extended period of time have not been able to secure a forever home due to health or behavioral issues. We are a volunteer-based, no-kill dog rescue group. We believe that every dog can be rehabilitated with the proper training and loving environment. Our motto is "There is a perfect forever home for every dog". We presently do not have a physical facility so while they are in our care, our dogs will be in foster homes where they will be socialized and rehabilitated to get ready for their forever homes.
Animal Spotlight
Wilson was diagnosed with IVDD and was set to be euthanized by his previous owners. He came to Hopes for Dogs Rescue in a wheelchair, unable to walk. After 1,215 days in our care over three years he’s made incredible progress and can now walk and even run!
Wilson still faces medical challenges. He recently developed urinary stones and is on a special diet that may dissolve them. If not, he may need emergency surgery. He also has chronic kidney disease, pancreatitis, and gallbladder issues, and has started treatment to manage these conditions.
Wilson also has a bite history and showed aggression early on with his fosters. But with time, patience, and dedicated care, he has come a long way and is now mostly stable. He’s a unique soul, independent, yet he enjoys being part of the pack. He’s sweet, loving, and full of life.
Wilson needs a special adopter with a big heart. Someone who can look past his challenges and love him for the incredible survivor he is.
